Gold Reef City

Auntie Mel took Mommy, Daddy and I to Gold Reef City. It use to be a Gold Mine and now it's an amusement park. We went on a water ride. Mommy, Daddy and Auntie Mel got very wet. I didn't. I moved seats. I went on a rollercoaster with Daddy. I drove a bumper car that looked like a cat. I went on a merry-go-round. I got on a ride called Dumbo, you go up and down. I got to drive a vintage car with Daddy in the back seat. I played some games and Auntie Mel won a big dog. And I met Father Christmas. I had lots of fun.

Spa Day

     At school, our Unit of Inquiry was Step Up to the Plate. We learnt exercise is good for you. Relaxing is good. We learnt that some foods are healthy and some are not. Good hygiene helps keep you healthy. Mental health is being happy. At school, we made buckets and we would write notes to each other to make us feel happy.

     For our end of unit workshare, we had a Spa Day. First we showed our mums and dads our aerobics moves. Then, we took our parents to do yoga. Yoga is exercise. It helps your flexibility. Then we gave our mums and dads massages and facials. This helped them relax and is also making them feel happy. I gave my dad a massage because my mum was working. I also gave my dad a yogurt facial and put cucumbers on his eyes.

2-Ingredient Cookies

I made some cookies. They are called 2-Ingredient cookies because the 2-ingredients are bananas and oats. You need 2 bananas and 1 cup oats.

I added some peanut butter and Nutella. I like peanut butter and Nutella. They make a good combination.

We baked them for about 10 minutes at 190 Celcius. They taste like angels floating in my stomach!

Making Ice Cream

At school, my class made ice cream. We were learning about being healthy. The ice cream we made was healthy because we know what's in it.

Our home learning was to make ice cream. I made ice cream with Elias, Manashe and his younger brother.

This is how to make the ice cream.

1. Take a small bag. Put milk, sugar, vanilla and we put in peppermint. Seal it removing all the air.

2. Put the bag in another small bag. Seal it removing all the air.

3. Get a large bag. Put ice and salt in it.

4. Place the small bag into the big bag and seal it.

5. Shake it!

6. Once it's done, eat it!!!!!

Moving Back to Dar

I'm leaving Lusaka in October.
I'm going to Tanzania.
I will miss Lusaka.
But I will see my friends again.
And I'll see my Grandma and Grandpa.

I'm going to miss my friends here the most.

But I get to take my dog, Butch.

Planes

On Sunday, I went to see the movie Planes. I really liked it.

Dusty is a cropduster. He wants to be a racer. So he joins a race that goes around the world. Ripslinger is a famous plane that wins all the races. He doesn't like Dusty. He cheats, by sending his two assistants to break off Dusty's tail and hit him into the water. Dusty keeps on flying. And there's this plane named Skipper, and he saved Dusty's life with all his helicopter, jets and plane friends.

Dusty the cropduster wins the race. I was really happy he won.

I also liked this movie because it was the same as Turbo.

Turbo

I went to see Turbo with my mommy and daddy.

Turbo is an underdog snail which speeds into over drive and he beleives in himself and beats a Canadian racer, named Gagne.

During the race, Turbo loses his powers, but is still able to win the race, even when Gagne tries to step on him.

First Day of School

First day of school was awesome! I got to meet my new teachers and made new friends. My dad took me to school. I got to introduce him to my new teacher.

We had PE and we learnt about mini-volleyball. If you use to hands together and make a fist, you can pass, and if you use one hand, you can hit it over the net and score a point.

In French, we learnt about animals:
cheval - horse
grenouille - frog
vache - cow
chien - dog
chat - cat

Music Camp

Music camp started last week. We played the drums, and lots of games. We made shakers. We paper mached balloons, and then we painted them. To make them into shakers, we put seeds that we found on the ground into them.

My favourite part of music camp was playing the drums.

I did a hip hop dance with my friends; Wilhem, Filipe and Guilano.

I had a lot of fun. I want to do it next year too.
